#Burgerventures: Fuel Burger - A Gem In the Underground
10:00
I am going to a place far away from home, and I needed Ian's help to get there safe, or get there at all.
I am going to
BF Homes Paranaque. (Hahaha)
Anyway, I am supposed to see him in SM Makati but oddly enough, I got there ahead of him and I had to do the waiting.
I felt hungry and normally I would walk across to Glorietta to get anything but he's probably just 15 minutes away and I couldn't afford getting him frustrated right now. We need him!
Walking around the SM food court I've seen this burger stall I've always been eyeing on. The weekday-evening SM crowd would scare me away but, heck, it's Sunday morning and the place is practically empty. It's my lucky day!
Even luckier, Fuel Burger lets you customise your burger. I took my time looking at the menu and ended up getting a 'classic' one--Jack Burger with tomatoes, onions and lettuce. (Wow. I really had to 'take my time' for that).

What I found interestingly impressive is their chef(?) who takes the orders. I loved the dude because he talks a lot and is very enthusiastic in what he's doing. LOL. Maybe it's not for everyone's taste but I love it when I get makulit recommendations from the staff.
Jack Burger with lettuce, tomatoes and onions, Php 185 |
Onto the food: Apart from having different kinds of sauces, what I loved the most is the bun! It was fragrant--in a foody kind of way, and sweet. White bread in all its glory.
The patty had small bits I couldn't chew, but overall, it was flavourful.
A burger with sides will cost you just PHP185, You can either have onion rings or fries. Throw in an extra PHP15 for bottled water and you have yourself a full meal. Those big-a$s is nearly impossible to find in fast food chains, so THAT alone sold it to me.
Here's their menu I got off the net:

It was a definitley a burger place to come back to. I do hope that someday they open up a restaurant of their own. The staffs were kind and that's always a plus. If you are a fan of build-your-own burgers, and of selection of sauces, I suggest you give Fuel Burger a try!
