Seda Hotel Nuvali: It's My Birthday!

18:08

My birthday is on the 27th of December, and if you didn't know, I share it with my sister.
When you are past the 18 mark, it's not very exciting anymore, is it? This year we planned to celebrate with a little staycation in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa Laguna, very timely for the Night Sky cinema event that my sister is monitoring on the same day. This place has been very famous when it quickly emerged from a rice field into a modern (but still green) city. Nuvali has definitely been the gem of Sta. Rosa since then and you'll be surprised how the entire place has transformed if you have seen it before the year 2000. Ayala, in my opinion, did a really good job keeping nature and the city come together. This place is jammed with both tourists and residents when we were there and wouldn't be surprised.

We stayed over at Seda, probably the only hotel in Nuvali as of yet.

The service. Seda is an 8-storey, 4-star hotel. Whatever they lack in height (compared to conventional hotels in Manila) they make up with good service. The staffs of Seda in Nuvali, is probably one of the nicest I have come across. One of our rooms had problems with the bath tub. The maintenance crew came in very quickly and when they said they couldn't fix it that night, we were moved in to a new room right away.

The room. It was of average size, the bed was exceptionally comfy, the lighting in the room, and the view in the Lakeside or the opposite were both great. The bathrooms were nice and clean and spacious.

The food. Oh. My. Lord. I feel so bad for not having any pictures but their breakfast buffet was THE BOMB. They had every breakfast you can imagine. Bacon and Sausages. Check. Scrambled Eggs and Fried Rice. Check. Toast, butter and jam? Check. Champorado with Danggit. Check. Assorted Danish. Check. Creme Brulee. Did you expect that for breakfast? Nope? Check.

The ambiance. The outside of the building is the open parking and it was very clean and green. Seda hotel sits beside the beautiful lake. Nuff said.

The amenities. Two words: GAME ROOM. They had a freakin' game room. What more can you ask? They also had a pool, but who cares, there is a game room! We spent some time playing Just Dance and my little brother was not very happy about that (we used to play this in Wii, what the freak!) In the lobby they also have a few iMacs setup for guests's use.

My overall experience was very nice. 2 days away from home wasn't so bad.

Verdict: 2 thumbps up! 5 Gold stars!
