Unboxed: Sony Cybershot DSC-HX60v
00:08
I knew it was time for me to get a new camera, and if you have read my previous posts, you probably think so, too. After a lot of window shopping, review-reading and serious deliberation, I finally decided to order the Sony Cybershot HX60v. This can be my first Gift-to-self for this year's Christmas, can it not! I remember I posted a wishlist, but I didn't have the time to add this one because I was seriously busy researching. Well, well, the irony.
The decision has been made. The money has been spent. And we hope for no regrets.
So I have here the basic package, which includes:
- Camera body with the fixed lens
- AC Adapter
- NP-Bx1 Lithium Ion Type X Rechargeable battery
- Micro USB cable
- Wrist strap
This is how the box looks like. Mine is a little dirty I don't know why, but it wasn't damaged so I didn't care so much.

When you open it, there's an upper layer that holds the Wi-Fi information and instructions manual. Nothing much to see there.
When you lift that up you get the camera sitting on top of some sort of recycled cardboard material, holding the battery and AC Adapter as well.

Right below it is the AC Adapter cord and the USB cable. It also comes with a wrist strap.
So that's just the basic package, it didn't come with any other accessories like an external battery charger (which was one of the reasons why I considered getting a Canon), no case/bag, and no memory card. It has a small internal memory so it's possible to do a few test shots right out of the box. I had to pick up a memory card for it somewhere else.

In case you're wondering, this isn't available in local Sony stores (or I at least just not have seen a single one in every freakin' mall I've been to, which is A LOT, I TELL YOU). You can score this online from 15,300 - 33,000. Depends on where you get it from. More about this on my next post.
I am going to make a review of this soon--just a little average user kind-of review, it wouldn't be too technical, maybe not even at all.
And that's it for now I hope you enjoyed!
